Day Sixteen- When did you first decide to lose weight?
I've made conscience efforts to lose weight PLENTY of times. I've started out very strong and usually within a week or 2 I was deflated. Mainly, because I would exercise my ass off (not literally) but I would see no results. It took me just recently to understand why and now that I understand it, I can change it! I know why I gain weight and that's why I've started to lose weight and it's working. I look forward to the future.

weigh in 4, day 15
Merry Christmas to all! This is my 4th weigh in into my journey and it's been a VERY exciting week. First, I'd like to announce that the hubby and I got our approved vacation for the end of April! 2 weeks off and we know exactly how to spend it. We bought our plane tickets on Saturday, we're going to France for 2 weeks! April 19-May 5 we will be in Paris, Marseille and Brussles, BE. I'm so freaking excited.
Also, seeing as it's been a holiday weekend, I've obvioiusly eaten more than i should have. Well, even with those slip ups, I've still manages to have a loss this week of 2.4 lbs which brings my total to 13 lbs lost!!!! It's such a great feeling to have this sort of progress in what is known as the hardest time to lose weight. I'm very proud of myself.
Well, I'm going to get the hubby's breakfast ready and prepare to start our Christmas Day.

Day Fifteen- Are you vegan or vegetarian? If so, has this helped you lose weight? If not, would you ever consider turning vegan or vegetarian?
I've not become a vegan/ vegetarian officially. I've noticed that many of my meals have turned out to be vegetarian just because the calories are lower when meat in not included but I refuse to put a lable on it at the moment. I still love meat and am not ready to give that up completely. Maybe, in the future it'll be something to seriously consider.

Day fourteen- What’s your UGW? When you expect to reach it?
my UGW is 150 lbs. Ideally, I'd like to have that weight before I my next visit to either Florida or New York. I'm not really posting progress photos for anyone but my blog and my family doesn't know I'm working on losing weight! So, maybe by Thanksgiving I'll be at or very close to my GW.

day 12 - 13
Day Twelve- What do you normally eat?
normally, i eat a lot of wheat bread, eggs, turkey bacon, fish and lots of meals that are semi-vegetarian. i'm trying to be clean but there are certain snacking habits that are hard to break. i eat a couple of fiberone bars as snacks and fruit out my ears! veggies and salsa are also a part of my everyday routine.

I believe that my process is borderline only because I am eating the least amount of calories recommened for a woman. I try to eat more on certain days but I've noticed i'm an all or nothing kind of girl. We'll see where it takes me.

Day Eleven- Your favorite thinspo blog and why!
Funeral For My Fat is more my favorite fitspo/healthspo/thinspo blog out there. she's not just about getting the gap between the thighs and seeing your collarbone. She's a real woman who went through a real challenge to get where she is and she's working her ass off to stay there. I love reading her comments and seeing her progress. I hope one day I sound as knowledgable about health and weightloo as she does.

day 9 & 10
Day Nine- Did people ever make comments about your weight in a negative way?
I don't feel like comments were ever made directly at me or my fat. I've had friends who see girls the same size or sometimes smaller and they say things like "oh she's disgusting, or she must weigh twice my weight" i look at them and say that " I weigh twice your weight" and they always have a comment like "but you'r sexy or beautiful or something" and it's just a slap in the face.
Day Ten- What was the hardest thing you gave up during this “weight loss.”
Honestly, everything feels a little bit like a hard thing. I think it's more difficult right now because it's the holidays and it's all food that I might not get to eat all year and right now i just want to try everything. I've been pretty bad these past couple of days and I'm ready to get back on track. I don't need these small dosses of food. I want to be thinner this summer. I want to be sexier this summer and that means no more chips!

weigh in 3, day 8
Weigh in 3 is not as impressive but still a loss so i'll take it. I have exactly a 1.4 lb loss which puts me at 226.8 and a total loss of 10.6 lbs in 3 weeks! Thats' still amazing, especially since my week has been full of birthday parties and christmas parties! I'll take what I can get. HOORAY!

I don't believe I binge but I do still find myself eating a little more than I should be. I'm trying to control my cravings and I know it's something that'll only happen with time.

I'm 25 years old and have been married and out of my parents house for almost 6 years. I've been living in another country for almost 2 years. honestly i don't care what my parents think about my weight loss. this is all about me.

Day 5
Day Five- Why do you really want to lose this weight? Are you doing it for you?
I am most definitely only losing weight for myself. I've been gaining weight steadily for over 8 years and it's about time to get back to a happy place for me. I chosen to lose weight now because I'm back to my wedding weight aka my highest weight and i refuse for my HW to change into a larger number! I can't wait until this coming summer and I can't wait to be healthy and not have the fear of diabetes, high cholesterol, PCOS, and problems getting pregnant all because I wanted a Big Mac from time to time. It's no longer worth it to me.

Day 4
Day Four- Your greatest fears about weight loss.
I know it's silly but my biggest fear about weightloss is gaining it all back. For some odd reason I keep thinking about failing before I've even begun to succeed. It's probably not the most healthy. The second thing I fear is something completely cosmetic and that is saggy skin. I know that doing this is not 100% for the looks but for the health aspect of it but I have tio admit that the look is kind of important to me. Because of that, saggy skin is something that freaks me out. I know that it can be fixed so I just have to suck it up and look for the positive outlook of it. It will be worth it.

these women are my idea of healthy, skinny, beautiful women. I love that they still have curves and meat on their bone but that they don't giggle with every step they take. They look natural without even trying to be.

DAY 2
Day Two- How tall are you? Do you like your height?
I'm 5'5 and yes, I do like my height. I have friends who are taller, like 5'11 and they always had issues and insecurities which made them unhappy. Same thing with friends who are shorter. My height of 5'5 has never cause anything like that (unless we count that i can never be a super model) I'd rather be where I am then anywhere else on the measuring scale. lol
I'm super excited about my progress and sadly tonight will be our last dodgeball night of the season. We'll be back up and running in Mid Feb. To help with the loss of my only cardio a week I'll start the J.M. 30 day shred. I've seen some great results and would love to have some of my own. As far as my diet I find it pretty funny how about 60% of my meals have become vegetarian. Maybe that's something to explore as the months go on. Alright, well I'm off to work.

Week 2 is over and I'm am down a whopping 5 lbs. That's a total loss of 9.2 lbs in 2 weeks and I'm so exited about that. Hopefully the rest of the month of December will be that kind to me.

another weekend!
Today begins my second weekend since I've started on this journey. The week proved to be fantastic and I'm pretty sure I'm 1 or 2 weigh-ins from my first goal and that's just EXCITING. I kept walking a priority today and eating my calories is going well. I have problems where I find myself under 1200 calories and no longer hungry. I've got to figure out what to do in situations like that. I figure if I make my breakfasts about 400-450 calories I'll be able to close that deficit. I'll keep you posted on my findings. We have lots to do today. Perhaps I will post photos of what we do today..... :) enjoy your saturday.

Weigh in 1.
This is my first weigh in and I'm proud to say I've lost 4.2 lbs in my first week! Surprisingly enough, it wasn't at all a difficult first week. I mean, yes, the temptations were there but I felt completely satisfied with my decisions (even this weekend) and I'm looking forward to next week. I know that the weigh-ins will never be the same as in the first couple of weeks and that I have to remember to stay positive. I'm positive!

weekends are hard!
The holidays are officially upon us and with this brings Holiday Parties! December 1st meant 2 holiday parties in the same evening. It's really hard to behave when everyone around you is encouraging drinking and eating. The peer pressure can be overwhelming. I feel I did very well considering this isn't even a 1 week in process. I went to the first holiday party and did not eat any appetizers until I saw there were setting the food out for dinner. Even the, I only at 1 piece of bread, some pate and veggies. Dinner, I took a little bit of everything but not enough to cover my plate. I'd say only half my plate had food on it and most of that was veggies of some sort. On top of everything I didn't drink wine which is a VERY big thing for me. The second party was a little easier. I wasn't hungry becaus of the first party so I didn't eat mindlessly. I have a piece my a friends cheese ball and her spinach dip (she's a vegan so i trust her food) and then i drank. I know, I know, I'm not supposed to drink my calories but I did. I have 3 drinks of vodka with diet 7 up and a 1/4 of wine. I danced to burn off some of the calories and stayed on my feet for most of the night. Overall I feel as if I did very well for myself. Sunday was a little more difficult. We were so exhausted from the party that we stayed couchside the ENTIRE day. We bored ate a lot and by 4:30 pm I was pretty upset with myself. I went to the grocery and bought LOTS of healthy foods, so this problem doesn't happen again. Overall I'm happy but I obviously still have a long way to go.

too little...too much...
Apparently I have no problem eating only 400 calories for an 12 hour period and then eating another 800 calories in 1 sitting. That's a super bad habit that I need to break right away. It's just so hard with the holidays right on our doorstep. I'd rather not eat all day and then have a few yummy munchies and a glass of wine. I'll try to avoid temptation today and eat a balanced breakfast lunch and dinner. With 2 holiday parties to attend in 1 evening it will NOT be an easy task.
